I've fallen behind on the whole blog thing. Not sure where i left off. I know it was before Christmas.
Well first off, My Christmas was great. I was with family from Christmas eve untill Sunday. so what 4 days? wow. It was amazing.
Christmas eve i was at my Aunts house with my mom's side of the family. that was fun. we went to walmart and got gifts for a family who was in need this year.
Their daughter had passed away not even a year ago, and the dad got laid off. Not to mention that their other daughter is sick. So all of us cousins got together and bougth Christmas gifts for them. Yes we were fighting the other thousands of people at Walmart on Christmas Eve but you know what? i felt great that we were able to give to someone else. Christmas day we got up, ate, and opend gifts. Then Shelby, Nick and I brought homemade cookies and pie to our Firemen who were on duty. We walked up to the building and rang the doorbell. I was nervous but when they came to the door, they were so happy that we were there. They kept saying how glad they were that we thought about them when they couldnt be with their families. I wanted to bring them breakfast but i think cookies and pies where a beter choice. They even showed us around the fire tuck and Ambalince. :] So cool. I think i may want to work with living people instead of dead ones. Seriously im glad we did that for them. After that Shelby and I drove up to the Childern's Medical Center in Dallas and deiverd gifts that Shebly had gotten. The lady at the dest was astanished that two teenagers would think about others who are sick on Christmas. We werent able to see the kids but thats ok. Just knowing that the gifts went to someone who needed a smile on their face from someone who thought about them, sure will make my day for days to come. :] Saturday, my family went to my dad's side of the family and saw my grandparents. We only get to see them once a year so just being there was great. I love listening to stories of my dad and brothers growing up and how much im like them and how im differnt. :] I love how much we are like our parents but totally different too. We were there pretty much all day. Sunday we went to my mom's dad's house and saw all of them. Sunday was probally the most crazzest day ever. It has been snowing the last few days and where they live, they got 3 foot snow drifts. We got there and the snow was still above my ankles in some spots. It was so awesome. Finaily Monday was a relaxing day. To kick back and sleep. :] After the 4 or 5 days before i sure was worn out.
Through this Chirstmas Season i have learned alot. I have learned the true meaning of Christmas and i have added a few traditions to my list.
1. Bake cookies for the Firemen. but this time for at least three different buildings.
2. Try to donate more gifts for others who need it more than me.
3. Enjoy life as it comes for you never know who u might loose or gain.
4. Love your family and friends. They will be here for you forever.
Merry Chirstmas All and Happy New Years. :]]
